Board-ready business leader with 25+ years' experience transforming commercial, regulatory and operational strategy for high-growth businesses across the built environment, supply chain and compliance sectors. With a working knowledge of business across the entire C-Suite, Alex operates fluently across industries and management levels — trusted by governments, institutional investors and global brands to advise on regulatory reform, ESG governance and large-scale transformation.
Originally from a medical background, Alex transitioned into safety management early in his career and has since held senior leadership positions spanning consultancy, contracting and executive governance. His career includes Regional Safety Manager at Persimmon PLC, founding and growing AM Compliance Consultants into a 90+ consultant international practice, leading product strategy through a business transformation from £9M to a £190M+ exit, Executive Director of SSiP (Safety Schemes in Procurement), and Chief Safety Officer at a national standards organisation — where he led strategic repositioning and secured stakeholder alignment across the House of Lords, House of Commons and regulatory bodies.
Alex is an ISO Lead Auditor (9001, 14001, 45001), Fellow of IIRSM, and holds a Masters in Neuro Linguistics alongside ILM Level 7 in Leadership & Management. He is media trained, a global conference speaker, regular contributor to trade press, and has been cited by UK parliamentary committees. He currently serves as HSSE Director on the Abydos II Solar Park — the world's largest single investment-owned solar power plant.
A firm believer that AI is no longer optional, Alex actively integrates artificial intelligence across his strategic business advisory — from compliance automation and risk modelling to operational decision-making. Organisations that aren't already planning for AI are already behind. Alex helps leadership teams cut through the noise, assess AI readiness, identify where it delivers real competitive advantage, and build practical implementation roadmaps that deliver measurable return. He brings the same rigour to business continuity and disaster planning — ensuring organisations are resilient against operational, cyber, environmental and geopolitical disruption.
